Is there a heavy pole in the base of the blind to keep it down or in position when down?

Yes - there is a steel pole in the base of the blind, BUT the purpose of the base pole is to assist the blind to roll up neatly and effectively into a round "sausage" shape. We install a securing system into the corners of the patio or lapa openings (which is out of the way from been kicked or tripping over), and the client will fasten the LHS and RHS of the blind when it is rolled down. This keeps the blind in place and prevents it from blowing around in the wind and / or bumping into furniture or people. |
